Our aim is to tackle the underlying social and economic vulnerabilities that contribute to HIV risk and vulnerability in these communities.
The Challenge
Drawing on research related to HIV and AIDS (Gupta et al. 2008; Kippax 2008; Sumartojo et al. 2000),the literature strongly suggests that economic 1 factors, whether at the household or individual level, contribute significantly to the risk and vulnerability of women to HIV.

HIV prevalence
As HIV prevalence continues to rise globally among Women and Adolescents girls, traditional prevention strategies have shown limited success. PIAug recognizes the urgent need for effective prevention and inclusive mitigation strategies, specifically tailored to address the unique challenges faced by Women and adolescents living in border districts of Uganda. The literature strongly suggests that economic factors, either at the household or individual level, contribute to women’s HIV risk and vulnerability.
